All Afrifresh produce is inspected using strict quality controls to ensure that it meets client requirements. Our quality control team is familiar with all the specifications required by different clients in various markets. They are experienced in the farming practices needed to adhere to these specifications, and provide technical advice of the highest standard to our producers. |

During the season, our consultants visit producers' farms to provide first hand information and expert advice. This includes oversight at pack houses to ensure that the fruit is packed to specification and kept at optimal temperatures.
Once the product has passed our stringent quality controls, our logistics personnel ensure that it reaches its destination in the shortest possible time. This increases shelf life and guarantees that the product arrives in the excellent condition our clients have come to expect of us.
Each Afrifresh farm is GLOBALG.A.P (Good Agricultural Practice) accredited and accreditations are renewed annually. GLOBALG.A.P accredited products have been farmed in a manner that minimises environmental impact and maintains a responsible approach to worker health and safety. Ninety six percent of the Group's own volume originates from farms that have successfully undergone third party auditing of our ethical and social responsibility practices. These audits are ongoing and ensure compliance with both, South African labour regulations and the principles of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). They are also based on the ETI base code, an internationally recognised code of labour practice founded on the conventions of the ILO.
